My Portfolio

Hi, I thought it was about time to showcase some of my work with a portfolio. This page is dedicated to demonstrating the work I’ve carried out for valued clients all over the world. Rather than just dropping links and screenshots onto the page, I will give you an idea of what each client required and how I fulfilled their needs with both content creation and web design.

I hope you find this page helpful and that it gives you enough information to join my list of satisfied clients. Please let me know if you have any questions or require further information.

You can also find out more about me through my Instagram account.

My Fiverr Profile

Fiverr logo

Before I share my work with you, I want to talk about my Fiverr profile. I started my freelance writing journey on Fiverr, where freelancers advertise their services.

After an inevitable slow start, I accumulated a great list of international clients through Fiverr. My first gig was offering to write content in the winter sports industry, as this is one of my main passions. I later added gigs for mountain biking, e-bikes, and other outdoor activities. However, clients approached me requesting blogs on health and fitness, beauty, sexual health, business, and many other topics. This diverse range of niches taught me research skills and how to be diverse enough to fulfil the needs of a variety of clients.

One day, someone at Fiverr finally pressed the button to award me the status I’d been chasing. I became a Top-Rated Seller in 2023, which I’d lost hope in achieving despite meeting all of Fiverr’s requirements. At times, I was getting so much work through Fiverr that I could barely type fast enough. As soon as I delivered one job, another came in; it was great!

Unfortunately, my work through Fiverr started to dry up after a while. My stats were still good, and all my gigs sat at the top of relevant search results, but nobody was buying. Thanks to the loyal clients I have worked with for years, I still got some work through Fiverr. I believe the downturn in writing work is due to the advent of AI-generated content, as people can create content for free within seconds.

However, things are starting to look up. I’ve recently received many enquiries through Fiverr, mainly regarding the mountain bike and e-bike niches. It seems that there’s a pushback against AI-generated content as people are waking up to the fact that it can be of poor quality and bad for your website.

Even though my Fiverr work isn’t as prevalent as it used to be, I’m still going to push on with it, as I think it is still an excellent platform for both my clients and me.

If you would like to see a collection of testimonials or consider working with me through Fiverr, please check out my profile.

Some Of My Work So Far

Now, I’ll share some examples of work with you. These articles are for clients acquired within Fiverr and off the platform. You’ll see examples of work based in the snow sports industry, cycling, and travel. The examples below are all written by me and include a couple of websites I have created.

Motion-Mag

Motion Mag logo

Motion-Mag is an online magazine exploring the future of mobility. It looks into the modern lifestyle and how we can move around more sustainably, notably with electric and smart mobility solutions. Motion-Mag approached me through Fiverr to help them get started with a collection of articles. They wanted me to focus on real-world applications of electric vehicles and the different ways they are used.

Here is a link to my Motion-Mag profile, where you can see my articles on electric bikes, motor racing, destinations, and events.

Top Snow Travel

Tops Snow Travel is a luxury travel agent based in Australia. This company provides high-end clients with top-notch winter holidays in the French Alps. Gilles from Top Snow Travel contacted me regarding an “Ultimate Guides” collection for each ski resort he operates in.

Having visited most of the resorts and lived in the French Alps for many years, I could draw on personal experience to accurately provide essential information to Gilles’ guests. Since the initial job of creating the guides, I’ve updated each one to ensure readers know what to expect when visiting these prestigious destinations.

Here are some examples of the resort guides:

https://www.topsnowtravel.com/the-ultimate-guide-to-val-d-isere/

In addition to the resort guides, I have written several blogs to provide visitors to the Top Snow Travel website with valuable information. Here are some examples:

I continue to work with Top Snow Travel, and they are a valued client.

Elevation Alps

Elevation Alps is a local company that provides excellent self-catered holidays in winter and Summer. I’ve written a few blogs for them, but they now do everything in-house.

One of my blogs for Elevation answers the question, “What is Morzine Like For Skiing?”. Morzine is an excellent French ski resort, but it often gets a bad name for being too low and not getting much snow. So, the team at Elevation wanted me to write a blog that would put people’s minds at rest; here it is:

https://elevationalps.com/what-is-morzine-like-for-skiing/

Elevation also wanted me to write an article to describe what Morzine is like for a group ski holiday. I could use my experiences of visiting and living in Morzine to ensure the reader gets a true sense of what the area is like.

https://elevationalps.com/top-5-reasons-why-morzine-for-group-ski-holidays/

More Mountain

More Mountain is another excellent local holiday accommodation provider. They offer catered and self-catered properties, from small (but fancy) apartments to luxury chalets. I worked for More Mountain, first as a chalet host and then as a resort manager, before leaving to start my own writing business.

I started writing at More Mountain. Part of my job was managing the social media accounts, and blogs were a great way to inform our clients. Looking back on those first blogs is pretty cringe-worthy, as I now know they are terrible, but we all have to start somewhere.

Here’s my Ultimate guide to Morzine In the Summer:

https://www.moremountain.com/blog/blog-posts/summer-in-morzine-the-ultimate-guide/

I also put together this article on driving to the French Alps from the UK:

https://www.moremountain.com/blog/blog-posts/drive-to-the-alps-or-take-flight-how-to-travel-to-morzine-for-your-ski-holiday/

We wanted to educate people who didn’t ski or snowboard on what they could do during a visit to Morzine. Here’s my guide to winter activities for non-skiers;

https://www.moremountain.com/blog/blog-posts/9-things-to-do-in-morzine-for-non-skiers/

I have written many other blogs for More Mountain; the ones above are just a tiny sample.

Aleck

Aleck logo

Aleck is a company that produces in-helmet communication devices for skiers and snowboarders. They are good; you can talk to your group on a secure channel and even locate them on a map on your phone. Aleck sent me some sets to test, and I still use them occasionally.

Aleck asked me to write a few blogs to attract potential customers to their website. Here are a couple of examples:

https://www.aleck.io/blogs/our-journey/how-to-plan-a-group-ski-trip

https://www.aleck.io/blogs/our-journey/your-first-ski-trip

Much Better Adventures

Much Better Adventures is a company specialising in active holidays. I contacted them, offering my services, and they asked me to write an article about mountain biking in France. As a keen mountain biker, this was an exciting opportunity to write about something else I love. Although I have yet to go to all the places in the article, I could use research and personal knowledge to create an accurate picture of all these mountain bike destinations.

Kayak Help

Kayak Help found me through Fiverr and became one of my biggest clients. Unusually, they wanted me to write many articles about skiing and snowboarding for a kayaking website, all 3000 words long. I assume my contacts for this work didn’t work for Kayak Help directly and were part of a digital solutions company. Therefore, you won’t find my name on the website; instead, my articles are under the name of “Sugdeep Goyal”.

https://www.kayakhelp.com/category/other-sports/skiing/

https://www.kayakhelp.com/category/other-sports/snowboarding/

Writing 3000 words on some of these topics was challenging, especially when the client strictly requested “no fluff.” Still, it taught me that you can find valuable information if you dig deep enough.

Snowboarding Help

Snowboarding Help logo

Snowboarding Help is a similar website to Kayak Help. They approached me with many titles for informational content on all aspects of snowboarding. The titles were generated based on keywords they wanted to target and had strict guidelines for content and format.

All Chalets

All Chalets is a website for people seeking accommodation when skiing in various European locations. They asked me to write some blogs using my knowledge to inform their website visitors on different aspects of winter sports. Here’s a small selection:

Erin's Travel Tips

Erin is a successful travel blogger based in the USA. She wanted to add specific content to her website but needed someone with real-world experience that she unfortunately didn’t have. Erin had visited Chamonix in the Summer but wanted a blog based on Chamonix in the winter. I live pretty close to Chamonix and have been lucky enough to visit several times. With this in mind, she asked me to write the following blogs. She was great to work with, and I would love to do more with her.

Buzz Performance

Buzz Performance Logo

Buzz Performance is a local fitness business. They have an excellent gym in Morzine and provide various triathlon camps. I write a blog for them monthly to help with SEO and share on their social media channels. Although I’m not a fitness professional, I have a keen interest in fitness, as I have a very active lifestyle. I write the blogs, and the company’s owners check them before posting them online. I’m the only contributor, so browse the website for my published work.

Outdoor Master

Outdoor master logo

Outdoor Master provides ski and snowboard goggles and helmets. Their highly rated and well-priced products would definitely steer some people away from more prominent brands.

Outdoor Master wanted informative content to attract people to their website. I wrote several blogs for them, and they were great to work with. Here is a selection of some of my articles.

Futuraride

Futuraride logo

Futuraride sells electric bikes and scooters for all kinds of people. They wanted me to write articles that gave potential customers relevant information about their products. Some articles were to help with purchasing decisions, while others shared tips. I am a named author on the Futuraride website and have several blogs under my name.

Fiido

Fiido is a Chinese electric bike manufacturer who comes to me from time to time to add content to their website. They usually want informational blogs on e-bikes and how riders can get the best out of them. Here are some examples:

Bike Tips

Biketips logo

Bike Tips is an incredibly informative cycling website. It approaches all topics on bikes in minute detail. I had the pleasure of writing many blogs for Bike Tips, adhering to strict requirements. I have my own profile on Bike Tips, so you can see all my articles in one place.

Hotel Gyms

Hotel Gyms logo

Hotel Gyms is a website that reviews the best gyms in hotels worldwide. I have written several articles for this website using research alone, as I’ve never been to any of these hotels. However, I crafted some great blogs using online reviews and my knowledge of the hospitality industry.

Bike Test Reviews

Bike Test Reviews was one of my biggest customers for a while. They contacted me through Fiverr so that I could write a few blogs based on cycling, such as comparisons and guides.

https://biketestreviews.com/sram-rival-vs-force/

They also wanted me to write a guest blog for another website. This highlighted why buying a bike back in 2020 was so hard. I highlighted the shortage of stock and the reasons behind it.

ApartmentsRoc

One of my neighbours approached me regarding building a website from scratch for his property portfolio. He is accumulating a range of apartments in my local ski resort, Roc d’Enfer.

The brief was to showcase his properties and answer any possible questions guests may have. The aim is to sell holiday lets and to give guests lots of information so they don’t have to contact my client.

The website is still a work in progress, but it is packed with information from a local perspective. I’ve used my knowledge and experience to create a comprehensive hub of tips, hints, and secrets that visitors would benefit from.

I’ve built this website using WordPress and Elementor.

Mountain Holiday Company

Mountain Holiday company logo

A friend asked me for some photos for her new Airbnb hosting website. However, her web developer fell ill and could not complete the website, so she asked me if I could help.

I agreed, but I let her know that this would be my first website for somebody else. Also, the developer had started it using Wix, which was new to me. I started from scratch and rewrote all the text, which was clearly AI-generated.

I used it as a learning experience and think I’ve done quite a good job. My client was very happy with it, and her guests have given her excellent feedback.

MTB-Threads

MTB-Threads Logo

MTB-Threads is my own website and my very first. This is where I learned most of my web design and SEO knowledge. I wanted it to be a place for beginner and intermediate mountain bikers to get all their information. It features reviews, tips, destination guides, and buying advice.

It is an affiliate marketing website, but unfortunately, most products link to companies that have recently gone bankrupt. Therefore, it’s sitting dead in the water until I get around to thinking about reviving or repurposing it. Any tips or suggestions are welcome.

My Medium Page

Medium Logo

I have recently started posting on “Medium.” I have a ton of stories from my years of living in the French Alps and realised that Medium is the ideal place to share them. I’m still working on the format and tone, but I hope you’ll find them entertaining. My “Mountain Stories” are about personal experiences and things that have happened while I’ve been living in the Alps. I don’t know if the altitude affects people, but it’s safe to say these things wouldn’t happen anywhere else.

Wrapping Up My Portfolio

This page only highlights a small sample of my work so far and will evolve as more work comes in. I love writing, especially if the topics are relatable and I have experience and intimate knowledge of them. However, I also like learning new things and the challenge of creating content outside of my comfort zone.

Offering web design as a service is pretty new to me, but I enjoy it and have experience with WordPress, Wix, and Square Space. Part of the enjoyment for me is to create something from scratch that my clients can use to launch or improve their businesses.

With this in mind, I’d like to extend an offer of my services to you. You don’t have to have a business based on mountain biking, winter sports, or the mountain lifestyle. I’m more than happy to talk through your requirements to ensure you get what you need.

How To Contact Me

You can email me here at [email protected].

However, contacting me through Fiverr, my Instagram account, or LinkedIn is much faster.
